As we build our new, state-of-the-art plant in Madison, our focus is on sustainability, maintaining a low carbon footprint, and community responsibility. We will target an average total energy usage of 25% less, and water usage less than half of similar facilities of the same size. In addition, we will aim for 33% lower GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions compared to similar facilities and to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2027.
NoviaHealth’s goals are to invest in the local community not only by providing fair-wage jobs but by contributing to the maintenance of local green areas and pledging to achieve near-zero hazardous waste production.
This includes eliminating the use of non-recyclable plastics wherever possible. As we complete the facility, we are investigating the feasibility of supplementing power with rooftop wind and solar arrays and on-site water recapture.
